TNVIP Server Extended
The
GCOS interoperability solution for workgroup of PCs
The TNVIP Server is a communication
server providing central management and gateway mechanisms for the
connections between end-users on their PCs or WID and the GCOS information
system. As a gateway, this communication server manages the relationship between
the users and the production applications by supporting the emulation softwares
compatible with the standard protocol TNVIP.
TNVIP Server Extended (SE) is a new version of
the TNVIP server previously available on AIX™ or Windows NT.
TNVIP SE is implemented on a new architecture
allowing access to GCOS via TCP/IP instead of using a DSA or OSI/DSA stack as
implemented in the previous offer.
A new architecture
Based on the new interface GTEA (GCOS TCP
Enterprise Access), it allows access to GCOS by using the RFC1006
protocol (transport of the DSA protocol over TCP/IP).
